Enrolment

Enrolment packs are available from the school office between 8am-3pm.  You will also need to produce the following documents:
  • NZ birth certificate or proof of citizenship
  • Copy of your child's Immunisation Certificate, signed by your Doctor.

You must fully complete all forms and return to the school office at least three full days prior to starting.

 New Entrants at Age Five

The school has adopted a policy which allows new entrants to start together on a set day approximately every three weeks. The purpose of our programme, which includes pre-school visits in the weeks leading up to enrolment, is to ensure both child and parent are welcomed to our school in the most supportive way.

Parents are asked to complete enrolment procedures well before this day. Please note a birth certificate or passport identification is required by law before the child begins school. Because of this legal requirement, children will be refused entry at any school until a certificate of birth is produced.

School Visits

Once your enrolment forms have been received arrangements can be made for school visits.  All 5 year olds are given the opportunity to visit their classroom twice before starting school.  Our school visits are most Tuesday mornings from 8.30-9.30.  We encourage children to attend these visits as they help create a happy and healthy transition to school.

Entry Day

Children and parents are taken directly to the class and introduced to the teacher. Parents are invited to the staffroom by 8.45am where they are welcomed to our school. The following hour is an opportunity for both parents and Senior Staff to exchange information regarding the school and children.
