LibraryThe Library is currently being renovated at approximately $220,000 and it is expected that the new facility will be available at the start of Term two. The library has an extensive book collection supported by the Parents and Friends Association, a media room and E research facilities.
Children are encouraged to use the library with each class making a visit at least once per week. In addition, the library is open between 12:30pm - 1:00pm daily. Children may take out books for a 2 week period. The library access system is fully computerised and a complete record of all books issued and returned is maintained. Due to the increasing expenses in providing books for children, a charge will be made for lost or damaged books.
Enviroschool
In November 2007 the school officially became an Enviroschool, being awarded the Bronze Award for work involving the Mauis Dolphin and also waste recycling.
We will continue working towards achieving the Green-Gold Award and this will involve the school and our island community working closely together on environmental action projects.
For information about our achievements please download our Education for Sustainability Brochure (280 KB PDF).
